In its bid to offer the end-consumers better quality at affordable price, SNR Electronics, owners of Markson brand, unveiled its new range of consumer products comprising DTH, Colour TVs, LCD TVs, laptops, desktops, home theatre systems and DVDs.

The company will take the channel route to market and drive its products. Currently, SNR Electronics has close to 2,000 channel partners, out of which 200 odd partners sell laptops and desktop.

Talking about the competition from major vendors in the laptop and desktop space, Sunil Wadhwani, CEO, SNR Electronics stated, “We are not looking to compete with major vendors in this space as they are already well-established, while we have just entered the market. In the first place, we would observe the market closely, and try and grab a decent marketshare. Since we are providing these products at affordable price range and with zero compromise on quality, the consumers will definitely look to buy our products.”

The entry-level laptop from Markson is valued at Rs 25,000 while the high-end laptop is valued at Rs 40,000. Talking about the retail tie-ups, he informed that they have no plans to enter retail chains like Chroma and Reliance etc, at the moment. Instead, the company will have their own showrooms in place. SNR has already opened five showrooms under the brand Markson in Delhi. The company will be showcasing all its products and will offer schemes to lure the end-consumers. Talking about the service, Wadhwani mentioned that SNR has a 24-hour service facility and the distributor franchise will offer support in the far-flung areas.
